Let me start off by saying that I really do not enjoy eating steak so when hubby suggested this recipe, I was very hesitant. I figured I would just eat the corn and the potatoes and leave the meat to hubby and Buggy.

I am happy to say that I loved the steak when it was done and this was the easiest three course meal I have ever made!

Ingredients:

3/4 inch thick steaks
A-1 or Heinz 57 sauce
Corn on the cob
Baked potatoes
Tin Foil

Directions:

Spray the bottom of the crock pot with non-stick cooking spray.

Place the steaks in the bottom of the crock pot.

  1. What could you use if you don’t like steak sauce?

    • Good question! I haven’t tried it with anything other than steak sauce, but I would imagine whatever type of liquid you like on your steak? Maybe italian dressing or another type of marinade – if you make your own marinade? It would definitely need to be a liquid base, but I would assume whatever you prefer to flavor your steak with would work great… makes me want to experiment with some other ideas!

  2. I tried this and was gone longer than I planned so it was a little dried out .my cheap cut of steak tasted good, the corn tasted like grilled corn .I was able to feed two adults and three small kids for ten dollars.

    • We were able to feed hubby (who has the appetite of 2), my 7 year old (again the appetite of 2) and me with this meal! And it was so easy to make! Glad it worked out for you!

  3. Awsome ideal, I cant wait to try it and see if it goes over at my house.

  4. I just stumbled this as it’s bloomin’ genius! Tell Hubs way to go for the idea!
