One of my new year goals for the last couple of years has been to eat healthier and lose weight.
I tend to jump on board and do really well, and then somewhere along the lines, I fall off the wagon. Then I tend to repeat the cycle.
Now, I’m getting ready to start again and wanted to share my 5 must haves for weight loss.
Healthy Foods – If I start my journey, I need to ensure I have healthy snacks in the house, on hand, ready to be eaten. I usually stock up on fruits, vegetables, cheeses and yogurts that can be quickly grabbed when I need a pick me up.
Good Tennis Shoes – Right before the new year, I purchased a brand new pair of running shoes. I am not a runner, but these were the best shoes for what I needed – walking. My last pair gave me blisters and just were not conducive to walking long distances. These new shoes are perfect.
Pedometer – I like to see how many steps I take in a day. Ideally, I shoot for 10,000 steps a day.
Calorie Tracking App – I like using a calorie tracking app on my phone to give me a good idea of where I should be daily and to keep track of what I am eating daily. I find it helps and holds me accountable. (I personally like My Fitness Pal.)
Good Scale – Such as the Ozeri Weightmaster II Bathroom scale.
