As many know, I fell into the world of planners and haven’t looked back. In fact, I think I have fallen even deeper.
Many don’t understand the benefits of planners and the accessories that go along with it, but I have found them to be entirely useful – accessories and all!
I have a planner to help keep me organized for my job; a planner for my editorial calendar; and a planner for my “bullet journal” which not only helps me keep track of important dates, appointments, and reminders; it also serves as a journal and memory keeper.
I have put together a list of what I consider a planner wish list to help guide those looking to get started in planners or for those looking to find gifts for a planner. In fact, if you’ve seen my Christmas list this year, you have probably seen most of these items on it!

2017 Recollections Spiral Planner – 12 Month – I recently purchased one of these to use for my 2017 blog editorial calendar and so far, I am really liking it. It is not flimsy and I don’t have to worry about it falling apart. It appears and feels very sturdy.
It comes with stickers included and a pencil/pen pouch in the back. I haven’t changed the cover, but it does appear that they can be changed.
Personally, for me, I do not carry this one with me as I feel it is too big. If you liked carrying big purses, this is one I would feel comfortable bringing places with me although it could get heavy. Hence, it’s an awesome editorial calendar (or would make a great personalized bullet journal!)
me & my BIG ideas Create 365 The Happy Planner, 18 Month Planner, July 2016 – December 2017 or get the kit that has the planner AND stickers all ready to plan! Create 365 Planner Box Kit Be Happy – This is the planner that started it all for me. Unfortunately (or fortunately?) I found it too big to take with me every where I want. Being a disc bound planner, I worried about it falling apart.
My Happy Planner has since become my bullet journal. I like that I can move pages around, add pages, insert different kits (the budget kit and fitness kit are two that have recently been added.) I can buy more lined and graph paper to include so it can continue to grow with me.
I have collections, stickers, and journaling in there. It has become my own personal bullet journal – made just for me!
Color Crush Personal Planner – Natural or go one size bigger with the Color Crush A5 Planner – Natural – I originally purchased the personal size and quickly found it was too small for my personal liking. I loved that I could carry it with me with ease, but I just felt the space was too small.
I then upgraded to the A5 size and while it is a little bigger (and more cumbersome to carry with me); it does give me the room I need to write.
I personally have purchased my own inserts rather than paying for the binder kit (which costs more.) I have purchased my inserts from WisheeWashiPaperCo (she does vertical inserts similar to the Happy Planner which was what I love about these inserts. I also know that Amy’s vertical kits fit these inserts) or SweetKawaiiDesign. I really like SweetKawaiiDesign’s horizontal inserts.
Stickers and Miscellaneous
Pink Peony Designs – She offers stickers, but she also makes magnetic bookmarks and dashboards. Her works is super cute and she does custom orders if you ask!
Adorably Amy Designs – She is by far my favorite sticker shop. Her stickers are cute, affordable, and she has amazing service.
Mudpie and Pigtails Boutique – Not only does she have a super cute baby boutique (her shop on Etsy is baby focused) but she has an awesome (and severely addictive) website for planner accessories (and hand knit cup cozies!)
This is the place to go for planner bands and tassles and I may have a small obsession! She also has paperclips! I have Lilo and Stitch, sugar skulls, and custom Betty Boop bands, paper clips, and tassles from her shop!
10-Piece Le Pen Drawing Pen Set, 0.3 Point Size – These are the pens I purchased when I first purchased my planner and I love them! They are the only pen I have used on m planner and I love them!
HP Sprocket Photo Printer – The coolest little invention that makes planning so much more fun because I can print a photo straight fro my phone (via bluetooth) and then stick it in my planner! It is by far, the best planner accessory I own!
These are all items I have used and items that I have on my personal wish list (or I currently own them.) I will continue to update this list if I find more things that I love, but will not recommend anything that I have not personally used.
A planner knows how important our planner and accessories are!
