6 Steps to a Perfect Family Movie Night

There is nothing I find more fun and relaxing than planning a family movie night with some of our favorite snacks and cuddling together watching a movie.

6 steps to a perfect family movie night:

Step 1:

Make sure you pick a movie that everyone wants to watch or at least majority of the family wants to watch. As a family of 5, we tend to have trouble getting a 100% consensus, but we can usually get 3 of 5 (A doesn’t typically count because she’s only 2 and if it’s not Mickey Mouse or Peppa Pig, she could care less!)

Step 2:

Shop. Right now, Albertson Safeway stores are offering an exclusive reusable Peanuts branded shopping bag when you purchase 3 participating items (while supplies last.)

For our movie night, we headed to Safeway and picked up some Red Baron frozen pizza (participating brand), chocolate Horizon Organic milk (participating brand), and ingredients to make rice krispie treats for a snack later. Kellogg’s is a participating brand so we picked up Kellogg’s rice krispies and Nestle (participating brand) mini chocolate chips for our snack recipe.

When we went to check out, we let them know that we had 3 participating brands and would like to receive our exclusive Peanuts bag.

Unfortunately, our Safeway store did not have any signs or displays and the manager was the only staff who was aware of the promotion so be sure to mention that you would like your exclusive bag and ask the manager for it if you do not see any signs regarding the promotion! You don’t want to miss out!

Step 3:

Prep the moving view space. Grab some pillows and blankets and make it comfortable.

Step 4:

Prep yourself. One word – pajamas. Get the kids in their jammies. If they fall asleep, it’s much easier to carry them to bed. Put your own jammies on. Let’s be real, jammies are more comfortable than my every day clothes!

Step 5:

Make all the food. Cook the pizza and the snack so it’s all done. This way you don’t have to interrupt the movie to cook; it’s already made!

Step 6:

Cuddle up with the family, your food, and enjoy your movie night!

For our snack, we made rice krispies treats and frosted them to look like Charlie Brown’s shirt and Snoopy! The kids had a lot of fun making them and eating them!
