I am a firm believer in paying it forward. I am also a firm believer in using social media and my blog for the purpose of good.
My thought process is that if it were me in someone else’s shoes and I asked for assistance, I would hope people would be kind enough to help me in my time of need.
I pay it forward all year long in any way I that I can, even if it’s $1.00 or if I happen to have more, then I give more. I give what I can, when I can to help other because I strongly believe that one day, I will be repaid in a way that I need it.
When hubby asked me to share this about his friend, not only was I more than happy to oblige, but we as a family, were more than happy to give.
If you can, it would be appreciated more than you know, if you could donate whatever you can. If not, if you can share this with others, it would be just as appreciated.
Hubby’s high school friend recently found out he has cancer.
He is a young man (he graduated the same time as hubby so I am assuming they are the same age which is a young age of 28) and has been a good friend to my husband and he needs our help.
From Kris:
Today I found out I have cancer. I have no insurance and have been denied because they consider this pre existing condition. I have always been healthy and now I have these expenses that has put me in a financial whirlwind. Was in the process of buying a house and planning for an October wedding and that is now on a temporary hold. So much for planning. I reached out to the government and other associations for assistance but received none. Please find it in your hearts to help, anything is appreciated no matter how small.
A
has been set up in hopes to raise money to help him cover the expenses that he is facing.
Can you imagine not only having cancer, but then needing surgery, treatment and being denied any and all coverage?
I ask of you, if you can give, any amount, no matter how big or how small, please go
and donate.
If you cannot donate, please share through your social media outlets.
If you have any advice on how Kris may be able to find coverage or help get his expenses covered, please leave me a comment and I will be sure to pass it on.
Thank you from the Life as Leels family!
