Snacks for Infants and Toddlers – Life as Leels

My kids are grazers. They want to eat all the time. In fact, my mother in law has taught them to be grazers. They eat small snacks throughout the day, between meal times, meaning I need to have healthy, appropriate snacks on hand.

The big kids are easy, but having snacks for infants and toddlers can be a bit more difficult so here are some of our favorite snacks for infants and toddlers:

* Avocado was one of the first foods we introduced to A. It’s easy to eat and healthy.

* Smoothies are a healthy snack option so long as they can suck through a straw and there are no seeds or chunks.

* Puffs… you can find these in name brand or store brand and are little cereal like puffs that dissolve easily. They are a convenient and safe snack. Plus they teach the fine motor skills of pinching.

* Kix cereal or Cheerios are a good options. They don’t contain a ton of sugar, dissolve easily, and promote motor skills.

* Bananas pulled off in little pieces – no bigger than quarter size pieces. Again, bananas are easily mushed so even if your little one doesn’t have a ton of teeth yet, they can mush a banana.

* Cottage cheese is a good source of protein and easy to mush.

* Scrambled eggs aren’t exactly an “easy” snack, but they do make for a good snack! And healthy!

* Graham crackers soften quickly and make a yummy snack.

* Pirate’s Booty and I’m not talking Johnny Depp’s butt. Pirate’s Booty is a baked, puffed snack made with rice and corn. They dissolve super easily as well.

* Yogurt! You all know I am a huge fan of Stonyfield yogurt! (Hello, I am a Stonyfield Yogurt Ambassador!)
has the pouches that my kids love as well as the yogurt ‘sticks’. If your little is still too young for those, they offer the perfect serving size cups for babies in their
line.

As part of being a Stonyfield Yogurt Ambassador, I was provided some infant and toddler products from
to help make snack time easier!

OXO Tot is all about

Keeping you and your little one safe and happy

with products for feeding, drinking, cleaning, bath, nursery, seating, on the go, and ages 3 and up.

We got to try some really neat products, but I think our favorite products were the

OXO Tot feeding products

A is 3 and can eat fairly well with a fork and spoon, but there are some foods she has difficulty with so these were great tools for her.

We received a few other products like the grape cutter to reduce the hazard of choking; a baby blocks freezer storage containers; a roll up bib; and the flippy snack cup with travel cover. While they are amazing products, they are a little young for my kids so we gifted them to our friends who just had a baby at the beginning of February.

Our OXO Tot products have helped A with snack time and I know they will help our friends with their newborn and their toddler with snack time too!

Have you tried OXO products? What is your favorite? I personally have my eye on their potty training seats since we are in that stage with A now!
