Super Bowl Fun For Kids!
Super Bowl Sunday is a fun time for the parents, but not so much for the littles (unless your kid is really into football.)
Here is a list to make the Super Bowl fun for kids!
Make pom-poms
for your little ones to cheer on the football game! (This
is great!)
Host a Mini Super Bowl
. Let the kids play their own little football game outside! We did this one year with our neighbor who was an actual NFL football player and it was the best time us kids had on Super Bowl Sunday!
Make your own jersey
. If there are a lot of kids and you want a cheaper option – draw t-shirts on paper, card stock or poster board and let them decorate them, color them, cut them out, etc. You can use crayons, water paints, markers, stickers – let them use their creative imagination!
If there are less kids (and maybe older who can do this alone) purchase cheap t-shirts to let them draw on with fabric markers, paint with fabric paint/puff paint and decorate for their own jerseys!
Make your own sports pennant
. Again, you can use paper, card stock or poster board to make it cheaper, or purchase some felt and glitter pens or fabric paint to let them decorate! (Here is a
!)
Posters!
One poster for each team and let the kids decorate what team they are cheering for! (My kids usually just pick which team they hear one of us say or who has the better color jersey. Whichever works, right!?)
Decorate your own football shaped sugar cookies
! Do you have that perfect sugar cookie recipe? Make up some football shaped sugar cookies and let the kid frost them, decorate them, and eat them!
Have the kids come up with their
own half time show
complete with dress up costumes, singing, dancing, etc! Let them have fun with it! K loves to sing and I can totally see her directing other kids in a half time show!
