My kids love bringing lunch from home during the school week, but sometimes, our creativity sputters out and we get boring lunches.
I am so excited this year to try and
!
We were gifted this awesome laptop lunch box (that came with all those awesome containers with lids that fit neatly inside), metal container, reusable sandwich bag, and the Rock the Lunchbox bag.
We loved it all so much, I had to purchase one for everyone in the family!
I had all three of the kids draw their dream lunch (I thought it would be fun to include Baby Girl even though she was clueless as to what she was doing other than coloring me a picture).
For the record – their dream lunch and what they really take and what they really eat, are all very different!
Buggy’s lunch is pretty reasonable and surprising, it had a lot of fruit. She isn’t as picky as her brother so rocking a lunchbox isn’t tough for her.
(I love the added love note too!)
Baby Girl can’t “draw” what she wants for lunch, but I’m sure she would be happy with apples, chicken, yogurt, applesauce, milk… she really isn’t picky!
Buddy’s lunch consists of Bagel Bites, pizza, ice cream and a Capri Sun. Seriously.
In fact, the other day, he tried to take a lunch that consisted of Triscuit crackers, pudding, a dirt snack pack (cookie crumbles, gummy worms, and frosting), fruit snacks, a Yo-Kids yogurt, and a Capri Sun.
Realistically, this lunch would definitely do him good (and he would love all of it!)
Buddy’s favorite sandwich is peanut butter and jelly so we made his favorite sandwich, sent a Stonyfield Yo-Kids yogurt, Honest Kids juice, Babybel cheese, pistachios, and carrots with ranch.
While it isn’t his ‘dream lunch’ it is much healthier and they are all options that he loves to eat and took minimal time to prepare for his school lunch!
