‘Twas 4 Nights Before Christmas {A Poem by Life as Leels}
‘Twas four nights before Christmas and all through my house, the kids were all running and destroying my house!
The toys were all strewn through the house with no care, while visions of maids danced in the air.
The children were laughing and creating a mess, while daddy and I just wanted a rest.
With gifts to be bought and the wrapping to be done, we knew the Christmas battle was yet to be won.
With toys and paper and bows galore, I couldn’t even see the way to the door!
Wrapping with care and sneaking around, we had to be sure these presents wouldn’t be found.
For Christmas was still four days away, and not all the presents were delivered today.
No cooking, no cleaning, no baking was done, please tell me that I’m not the only one!
I should be cleaning, sweeping the floor, but instead I’m sitting here dreading the chore.
This holiday is coming upon us too fast, and then it will be over, it never does last.
Now strangers, now family, now friends and foe, remember the reason and let your love show.
Give to others and show them love, do unto others, don’t give them a shove.
The holidays are crazy and hectic too, remember to be kind in all that you do.
Give hugs and gifts, don’t take in return; ’tis the holiday season to live and to learn.
Cherish the laughter, the smiles, the glee; take joy and pride in all that you see.
Hold onto your loved ones and hold them near, as I wish you all holiday cheer!
Just one more thing before I go, if you like my poem, can you give a show –
Of love, support, and a share or two; wishing you love in all that you do!
