Homeschool Learning Plans with LessonTrek

I started the summer out thinking I was going to home school Buggy. I had every intention of doing it.

I started reviewing different curriculums, studying habits, learning styles, organization – all of it.

Among the material I was looking over, I found a program for homeschool learning plans with
!

I am a freak about organization – especially when it involves my child’s education being put in my hands!

I wanted the best way to organize her lesson plans so that it was easy for her and I to utilize.

LessonTrek helped me organize her school year with subject, grading, and assignments. And I could color code it! (I told you I am a freak about organization!!)

I was able to add Buggy as my student. You can see all of your students – with their own little section – on the left hand side.

You can place each student individual or have a joint tab for group work (something that would come in handy if you are homeschooling more than one child!)

I was able to input her school year dates. I made her dates be the same as her brother so that while he was attending public school, she would be home attending homeschool – no break for one and not the other.

There is a section for grading periods. I have to admit, I haven’t looked into that much as of yet. The idea of grading sort of scares me off and I’m hoping to do more of the unschooling type of homeschool than a firm curriculum (and please know I am not saying anything about either method. To each their own.)

Lastly, you add the subjects.

I love that I can color code the subject and add the assignment as well.

Everything in LessonTrek is very personal – you can personalize nearly everything you need to while using this program.

Unfortunately for us, homeschooling is not happening this year – at least not yet. I do not have the confidence to homeschool Buggy, but I am still researching and forming a curriculum to use should we decide later on or for next year.

LessonTrek is definitely something I am going to continue to utilize as I continue to plan. I love that it is online and I can input my school schedule as I go which is great for me. (I don’t have to use pen and paper!)

Please note, I have never homeschooled before nor had any need to do any sort of lesson plans for homeschooling, but I find this website to be very useful for homeschooling (and possibly even teachers for lesson planning for the year!)
