Crossing Dinner off my To-Do List with HoneyBaked Ham #MC #sponsored
Disclosure: I participated in an Influencer Program on behalf of
for HoneyBaked Ham. I received a gift card to facilitate my shopping trip and to thank me for participating.
Every year around Christmas time, things get crazy. Well, at least at my house (please tell me they get crazy at your house too!)
Each year I utilize the same tip for staying organized – I make lists.
No joke. I currently have two lists to my left and my planner with more lists to my right.
My planner holds all my deadlines and appointments.
The two lists to my write consist of things I still need for Christmas (who I still need to buy for, what I am getting them, price ranges, and food needing purchased). On the back of that list, is a to-do check off list (errands that need to be ran, pictures that need to be taken, decorations that need putting up).
The second list holds expected payments to be received before now and Christmas as I try to budget our gift giving list.
Without my lists, I promise you, I would go crazy.
Lucky for me, one thing I could take off my list for a day or two was dinner!
Hubby, the kids and I went out to
on Sunday and picked up a feast.
We purchased:
A HoneyBaked quarter ham that was roughly 4 pounds which was perfect for our family of 5 (only 4 of us eat the ham)
A frozen side of macaroni and cheese
A frozen side of garlic mashed potatoes
A frozen side of cinnamon apples
Macaroni salad (that was buy one, get one free)
BBQ roast pork
Bacon
A feast!
We at the ham, two of the sides, and a macaroni salad for dinner with the apples for dessert. The sides were the perfect size for our family of 5. There was just enough for everyone to eat what they wanted with no leftovers, but no one leaving the table hungry. The apples were for dessert.
The next morning, hubby made himself a ham omelet with the leftover ham and Lil Miss ate it for dinner that night. The ham was hands down her favorite!
It was so nice to not have to worry about dinner plus we still had the BBQ pulled pork for another night of dinner as well as the bacon to cook up one night for another meal. That’s essentially 3 dinners for my family that I did not have stress over this holiday season! I was able to focus on my other lists and cross things off!
