A friend of mine recently started posting on Facebook about being a part of an American Legion Post.

I have to admit, I knew of the American Legion back home (and hate to admit, I spent way too much time in it growing up because of family) but I never really knew or understood what the American Legion was.

Fortunately, with my friend’s involvement, I started looking into it – particularly
:

138 is the one of the newest American Legion Post officially opening early 2011 in the east Phoenix/Scottsdale area.If you are interested in joining or know someone who would be, please contact [email protected]

Mission

To help and support the Homeless Veterans at Victory III, a veteran transition home, the VA Hospital and all Veterans and their Families and the Community.

Company Overview

The American Legion Riders are members of the American Legion family who are also motorcycle enthusiasts. We can be found participating in parades, partaking in motorcycling events, and supporting the communities in which they live, work, and play. Members of the ALR come from the American Legion, the Legion Auxiliary, and the Sons of the American Legion. The American Legion Riders were formed…

…to participate in parades and other ceremonies that are in keeping with the Aims and Purposes of the American Legion.

…to promote motorcycle safety programs and to provide a social atmosphere for American Legion members who share the same interest.

…to use our Association to promote and support programs of the American Legion.

The American Legion Riders is not a M/C, and does not practice M/C rules or regulations. The American Legion Riders is family-oriented, just as is its parent organization: the American Legion.

The American Legion Riders, Department of Arizona (AZALR), is a Committee of the Department of Arizona American Legion, and is comprised of American Legion Rider Chapters which have been sponsored and approved by a Post in good standing with the American Legion, Department of Arizona. For information on forming an American Legion RIders Chapter in your Post, contact the Chairman of AZALR as listed in the home page of this website.
