You can follow us on
too. Thanks for visiting!

I have always had the desire to make my own laundry detergent (and that is coming soon) but I figured if I was doing laundry detergent, why not do dishwasher detergent!

It was super easy and affordable!

Supplies:

1 cup mule borax (we found this at our local grocer – Target did not carry it (that we could find) and it wasn’t at Sprout’s)

1 cup washing soda (same as the mule borax; it was found at our grocer)

1/2 cup kosher salt (if you notice in the picture, we used normal table salt because (a) hubby said it wouldn’t make a difference and (b) we couldn’t locate our purchased kosher salt – either way, I haven’t noticed a difference)

1/2 cup citric acid (

this

was found at Sprout’s)

Container (I had kept our empty formula containers, but a mason jar would suffice)

Directions:

Mix all ingredients together in your desired container.

To use: Use 1 tablespoon per dishwashing load
