Easy Homemade Cloth Wipe Solution
When we first switched to cloth diapers with Lil Miss, we had a ton of wipes that were given to us so we used them.
Let me tell you how annoying it is to have a cloth diaper wrapped up in a wet bag with a disposable wipe in there. We always forgot and when it came to wash time, we were always fishing disposable wipes out of the washer!
Let’s just say I was glad to finally be rid of disposable wipes and able to use cloth wipes that I had received.
The cloth wipe solution I used is one I found from Slightly Steady.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil
1 1/2 teaspoon baby wash or baby shampoo
12 ounces of water
In a spray bottle, add the water, then the oil and then the baby wash.
The ingredients will remain separate in the bottle so just be sure to shake it up before each use.
You can use this to store wipes in a container and let them soak. You can spray the wipes before use. Or, we spray Lil Miss’ bottom with the spray and then wipe down.
I have a bottle in the diaper bag that I am able to take on the go as well which is nice.
This is super easy to do and super cheap. Water is free and the baby wash is something we have anyway and the EVOO we have is specifically for the wipe solution and barely takes any at all so it lasts a long time.
We have had no issues and it works great for us!
