Education and Fun with #LeapTV! #MommyParties #ad

I have always had a parenting/educator spirit about me for as long as I can remember.

Even gifting to children when I was in my teens, I would gift an outfit, an educational toy, and a fun toy. As a parent, I still focus on those same principles.

You can’t imagine my excitement when I found out I could combine two of these principles into one item! Education and fun with
!

from LeapFrog gets kids into the action while teaching core skills across a variety of subjects including: reading, mathematics, science and problem solving. Designed for kids ages 3-8, the system uses a motion-sensing camera and controller that fits small hands. Audio instruction makes it simple for even the youngest kids to play solo or with a friend!

The physical LeapTV system was easy to set up. It just plugged in to an outlet and into the TV and you were set up.

Once turned on, there was a registration process (which hello, if I would have read the directions, I would have known to do that pre-party!) Fortunately, it wasn’t long and I was able to do it in a few minutes on my mobile phone.

Once that was done, the kids were ready to play!

I do have to admit, one thing that bothered me was the length of time the kids had to wait in between actual play. It very well could have been me being inpatient, but it seemed like there was a lot of down time in between games which then caused a ruckus among the kids.

Other than that, I have to say, I really really like this entire system.

We were provided LeapFrog Sports! and LeapFrog Dance & Learn – games that required motion from the kids (thank goodness!)

Better yet, they required learning on the kids’ part.

The kids got to skate board, “climb” ropes, and do some math while “pulling weights”.

It was a lot of movement and a lot of fun!

(And yes, that is him saying ‘boosh’ every time he gets coins while skateboarding!)

The kids loved it and I loved that they were able to move, have fun, and use learning too!

Even Baby Girl got into the action (monkey see, monkey do!)

The box suggests ages 3 through 8 and I can attest, that my 6 year old and my 8 (almost 9) year old enjoyed it! The 21 month old is a little too young to grasp any of the concepts, but it didn’t stop her from moving around and be active.

The game “challenge” level will be something I am sure the 8 year old will master soon, but she still had fun playing and helping her brother with the math problems.

All around, it’s a great family game to provide education and fun!
