Last night, hubby, the kids and I went out on a family date night – something we don’t do often enough!
After school (and after I got off work) we loaded up and headed out for dinner as a family.
Dinner was timed perfectly to head up to US Airways Center in Phoenix where we would all be experiencing Disney on Ice Rockin’ Ever After for the first time! Hubby had never been. I had never been. The kids had never been. To say we were all excited was an understatement!
We had fabulous seats that were perfect for the show. We weren’t too close which was nice because we could see the entire skating area right from our seats.
We weren’t so high that the skaters looked like ants. Our seats were perfect (and a little chilly so if you go yourself, I recommend long sleeves or a light jacket!)
It really was fun to watch some of our favorite movies being played out in front of us on the ice! And of course, singing along to some of my favorite Disney songs!
Rockin’ Ever After had Pinnochio, The Little Mermaid, Tangled, Brave, and Beauty and the Beast, as well as Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofey.
My favorite part of the night was when Sebastian sang ‘Under the Sea’. The costumes and props were utterly amazing! We tried to capture it, but (a) my cell phone pics aren’t that great (that is my next upgrade!) and (b) they were skating – it’s a little hard to get a good pic when they are moving!
There were starfish and seahorses and purple fish. The colors with the blacklight really were stunning! My absolute favorite part!
We all had a fabulous time and it was a really great family date night! So much so that Buddy passed out on the way home and Daddy had to carry him from the car to bed!
You can find Disney on Ice at Ticketmaster and find when they are coming to your area. They are in Phoenix at the US Airways Center until January 12th and you can save $5 using code BRAVE.
