I tried to keep my kids away from computer games and video games. I didn’t want them to just sit around playing all day. But then I found the value in educational games; educational computer games and education video games.

Now in our household, we have found gaming as a fun and interactive way for our kids to learn. We attempted to keep them away from the computer and video games, but when they teach computers in Kindergarten, we figured why not use them to our advantage.

Computer and video games have made learning fun for my 4 year old who refuses to do traditional learning. He doesn’t want to sit down and listen to a book. He doesn’t want to sit down and color. He doesn’t want to sit down and do ABC’s or count 1-10. BUT, give him an educational learning game on the computer or a video game and he will sit there for hours and come out spouting out colors, letters, and numbers.

My thoughts are that they aren’t hurting him so why not let him have fun while learning.
