Make the 4th of July Memorable #LWDfashion #kidsfashion

Growing up, I remember going up north to my grandma and grandpa’s cabin for the 4th of July.

We would swim all day and then in the afternoon, there would be a boat parade where the boats would get decorated all festive and then driven around the lake, stopping at the restaurant/bar that was located right next to my grandparent’s cabin.

For some reason, grandpa never participated in the boat parade, but it never bothered us. We would swim next to the dock and watch the boats come around.

At night, we (and the neighbors) would sit around the bonfire and light fireworks.

Now that I’m an adult and there is no more cabin (nor is there no more Minnesota for me!) I look for ways to make the 4th of July just as memorable for my kids!

Make the 4th of July Memorable

#1 (and the most important) Matching outfits!

There is nothing cuter than going out and buying the whole family matching red, white, and blue!

This year, Baby Girl got her red, white, and blue from Lolly Wolly Doodle who have a fabulous selection of
(that are far too cute!)

Lolly Wolly Doodle has super cute outfits for the little gal (baby or girl), little guy (baby or guy) and mommy in your life! (They even having matching family sets, although I didn’t see anything for Dad! Sorry Dad!)

#2 Sparklers or Poppers

Sparklers are illegal in some states (and honestly, they scare me!) but those Poppers that you can snag for $1 a box and then throw on the ground to hear a ‘snap’ are equally fun for the kids to do!

#3 BBQ

It is summer – what better way to celebrate anything in the summer than with some burgers and dogs on the grill!

#4 Family and Friends

They make everything better! (And who wants to spend the 4th of July alone!?)

#5 Finding the best fireworks

We know where we live, where the best fireworks are set off, but we also know what spots around town we can watch the fireworks without having to deal with traffic and tons of people (and is still legal to park).
