Never Judge a Book by Its Cover – Life as Leels

Never Judge a Book by Its Cover

I have been meaning to write this post for a long, long time now and today, something finally urked me enough to write it.

I am not one to “call someone out” and I won’t, but someone posted a status updated on Facebook today that judged another person and their situation based on a momentary interaction. In this update, the person asked if everyone else was ticked off about said situation and it became a bashing of this individual who we know nothing about nor do we know their situation. The only information we had was what someone saw in a momentary interaction and then decided to make assumptions and judge and carry on a little tirade and allowing others to carry on in this tirade as well.

All I have to say is this: WHO THE HECK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE!?

I know we have all judged others at some time or another, but I try very, very hard not to. I have anxiety and part of my anxiety is the fear of others judging me. I know that I am not God. I have a Higher Power who is the ONLY one who can judge me. Period. Last time I checked, no one else was my Higher Power or anyone else’s Higher Power and they do not have the right to judge and belittle someone else ESPECIALLY when you do not know that other person’s situation! It makes me so angry, so irate, that people judge other people without having knowledge.

It goes hand in hand with
‘s blog post when someone judged her without knowing her situation. I cannot express enough how much it makes me angry when someone judges someone else without knowing all the facts. There are no word for my irritation, annoyance, anger and upset so I will leave it at that.
