Amnesiac Essie Sundae has no idea that her psychically-inspired Easter baskets have antagonized treacherous supernatural entities. Or that her new lover is anything other than the identity-challenged shape-shifter he claims to be. To Essie, he’s the answer to her loneliness and, if she dares to trust him, possible help in filling in her blanks in her memory.
Xavier Cassidy, aka Rule 34, the soon-to-be god of internet porn, made an ill-advised deal to get help with his little identity problem. Now, he has no choice but to ‘recover’ a priceless treasure from Essie, even though he’s gone and fallen head over fins, heels or claws for the supernatural beauty who seems to have no idea who she is.
When new threats arise, imperiling Essie’s entire existence, Xav’s true nature is revealed. She needs his help more than ever, and he’ll risk his more-or-less immortal life to give it to her — if she’ll let him.
But Xav’s not the only one who’ll have to sacrifice for Essie to make their sexily ever after.

My Thoughts:
So I have to admit, I have been sitting on this book for awhile.
I attempted to start it the first time and I’m not sure if my mind was not in the right place, if I was stressed with so much to read at one time, or if there was something else wrong with me. I could not get into it.
I attempted through the first couple of chapters and really just couldn’t grasp what I was reading. I couldn’t make sense of it. I wasn’t sure I was going to like this book.
So I put it down, went about my business, and finally decided earlier this week that I had to read it. I had to get it out of my “to be read” queue and had to do it.
Now I sit here wondering why in the world it took me so long to read this!
I absolutely enjoyed reading
A New Dawn
.
I loved Essie and especially loved her business.
I loved the hunky beach man, Dean, and Xavier Cassidy.
I was captivated by Moana.
I loved the basis of the book – the mythical, goddess aspect of the book. It just made it that much more special.
And the steamy scenes… that just made everything special!
I was able to dive right into
A New Dawn
this time around and couldn’t put it down. It took me 3 nights to read this book and I was bummed when it was over.

About the Author:
I hate talking about herself in the third person. It makes her feel crazier than she already is; so, the rest of this is in the first person.
I live in Boulder, Colorado, in a house called Looking Glass Keep with fellow author Lily Edwards, and write in a basement known as the Wonderland Scriptorium. Currently, the Keep is under siege by 6 squirrels — Rocky, Natasha, Boris, Alexi, Lucifer, Bullwinkle, a tiny mouse named Grover, and an as yet unnamed rabbit. I write about the women I’d love to be, the men I’d want to do, and the worlds I wish I could see. Who tops, who bottoms, who with, how many, and what kind depends entirely on the story, but I love Alpha females, Alpha males, relationships that heal, heroine-driven fiction and helping readers get their heart ons.
