At the Zoo with Turtle: A Children’s Learning DVD
We love movies in our house. Especially in the summer time when it’s in the triple digits by the time breakfast is over!
Interestingly enough, one of the first things I noticed on their website was that they have a USA Edition and a Canadian Edition.
Now, if you ask me, I would tell you I have no idea what the difference is. Fortunately, the Snaptoonies website cleared it up for me:
Please note: Snapato0nies DVDs are available as country specific DVDs for our USA and Canadian friends. Words like color/colour or the pronunciation of “z” (“zee” or “zdd”) are different and we know, as parents that you want your little one to learn the “right” way. Please choose your DVDs accordingly.

From Snaptoonies website:
Become an animal helper at the zoo with Turtle. Learn all about crocodiles, lions, monkeys, snakes, toucans, elephants, pandas, and turtles.
I was excited to watch this with the kids (ages 6 and 4), but apparently hubby had a different opinion. He let the kids watch it while I was at work one day. So I missed their initial reaction!
He said they both sat down and watched the entire thing without moving (run time of 30 minutes).
Of course, when I tried to get them to watch it with me, they tossed a fit because they didn’t want to and then got sucked into the movie. They didn’t make it through the entire 30 minutes, but they did sit and watch most of it (I think I watched more of it than they did!)
I thought it was a cute movie that depicted different animals. I love all types of animals so watching a kids DVD on the zoo with a turtle as my host – I was in my grown up, little kid happy place!
Snaptoonies also offers other DVD’s such as Counting Kids (which I think my 4 year old would enjoy); Abby Apple and her Fruit Friends (which both of my kids would probably enjoy); and Magical Color Caller. You can see their entire listing of
