BISSELL CleanView Vacuum – Life as Leels

As parents, we are always busy. I know that between school, working outside of the home part time, blogging, and being the mommy to now three little ones (along with hubby and three pets) cleaning is not at the top of my priority list. I just don’t have a lot of time to commit to cleaning as I would like to! And it’s not a good thing!

Our home is mostly carpet. Our entry way when you first walk in the door, our small laundry room and our small kitchen (oh, and our two bathrooms) are the only areas not carpeted. Our overly large living room, bedrooms, and dining room (which might I add I despise) is all carpeted so I was thrilled when I was provided the opportunity to try the new BISSELL CleanView Vacuum!

Finding a good vacuum is hard to find when you have children and pets. The animals shed, the kids drop everything on the floor, and with a new baby in the house, I have to be aware that sooner or later she’ll be crawling around the floors and I don’t want her putting any nasties in her mouth!

The BISSELL CleanView Vacuum is lighter than the other vacuums I have owned and has an easy empty tank which I love. You just push a button to take it out of the vacuum and then push a button at the bottom to release the bottom of the tank to dump the contents in the trash. Unlike our last vacuum. You had to twist off the top and bang the dang tank against the garbage to get it to empty which left dust and dirt all over so you had to vacuum twice instead of just the once. I don’t have time for that!

And a bonus? The BISSELL CleanView Vacuum has a washable filter which I love because it means I can clean it out when it gets all nasty with animal hair and dirt (hello, we live in the dessert!)

One thing hubby pointed out that he did not like was that the brush attachment got in the way of wrapping the cord back up. In order to wrap the cord up on the vacuum, you have to remove the brush attachment, wrap the cord and then replace the brush attachment.

The on/off switch was also lower than we are used to – it’s mid vacuum rather than at the top or as a foot push button.

Hubby decided to vacuum our dining room which while the pictures don’t do it much justice (the stains don’t go away – that’s what happens when you combine children with food and a carpeted dining room floor!) we noticed a huge difference!

The second hubby started vacuuming, I could see the dust it collected into the bagless tank. It was actually kind of gross to see how quickly it collected the dust that I clearly was not aware was on my floor.

Another note; it didn’t smell. With pets, it tends to get a little stinky when we vacuum due to the dirt and pet hair, but when hubby was vacuuming, there was no stinky smell (score!)

Overall, we are very pleased with our new BISSELL CleanView Vacuum and I’m actually excited to use it again!
