My typical blog tours have been more spaced out lately so I had to find a few other books to read for “fun” (you know that thing that happens every once in a blue moon?)
When I stumbled upon Coaster, I could tell it was a suspense read which is right up my alley.
When a bomb explodes at an amusement park eight people are killed. This tragedy and loss will change the lives of those who loved and lost them. What happens when disaster touches someone’s life? Will it inspire them? Destroy them? Or change them? A character study of grief, loss, and finding your way through tragedy, follow the survivors as they work to move forward when their life is abruptly shattered.
My Thoughts:
Right away from the beginning, this book was suspenseful. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time because you are introduced to various people, but you’re not sure why. You know something is coming, but you don’t know what. Definitely a page turner.
The only thing that made me pause was a part that touched a little too close to home for me in my personal life, but other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed the story and how it was written. It was an easy read. It was suspenseful. It was a great all around read that I recommend for anyone that likes to read.
And I’d love to share more, but I don’t want to give anything away because it really is such a great read full of twists and turns. I can’t say how much I liked it enough, but cannot share much more without spilling something important! Just take my word for it and read it!

About the Author:
My name is Lorena Bathey and I became a writer late in life, however, I’ve always been a fan of the written word. Starting from the time I would devour historical romances as a kid to becoming an English major in college, words have been a place of refuge for me.
The first book I wrote was Happy Beginnings, which is a hysterical memoir of my journey to find myself after my world fell apart. I had just lost my mother to cancer and then my husband divorced me, and somehow these horrible circumstances pushed me to change and inspired me to become more. The book is a memoir for women who have gone through loss, grief, or simply lost their way and need to know they are not alone.
After Happy Beginnings I found characters were in my head telling me a story so I started writing it down. That’s how Beatrice Munson was born. As soon as I finished Beatrice’s story another idea came, and another, until I now have over nine novels in my writing queue and I found myself a novelist.
How do I write these books? Simple, I write what I hear and see in my head. I write because there are stories to be told and people who want to read them. I write for the simple joy of the craft.
Hopefully you’ll find a nugget of truth or a kernel of lesson in these books that will keep you coming back for more.
