We are a very busy family. Hubby works full time outside of the home. I work part time outside of the home. One weekend per month I have school. Buggy goes to school and has homework each night that consists of an assignment plus 15 minutes of reading. Not to mention any family events, plus Buggy goes to religious education classes every Monday night. I feel like there are some weeks that we are never home because we are always on the go!
Which is why I was excited to learn about
meals.
Kidfresh meals are all natural – no artificial flavors – and they have hidden veggies pureed into the food to help your child get up to 33% of their daily value in vegetables!
I know Buggy is not getting her vegetable intake all the time so this is perfect! And they come in perfect portions that are easy to warm up and take with us on the go!
The website shows 6 different meals offered by Kidfresh, but our Safeway was only offering 4 of the meals: Spaghetti Loops Bolognese, Wagon Wheels Mac + Cheese, Muy Cheesy Quesadillas, and Rainbow Rice + Chicken.
Unfortunately for me, my kids do not do red sauce and they are not chicken or rice fans, so we picked up two mac and cheese meals and two quesadilla meals. (Be sure to use the

too!)
Common sense told me the Kidfresh meals were in the freezer aisle, and we found them at the beginning of the aisle, with the frozen kid entrees. (You can follow me on my virtual shopping trip by checking out my Google + album.)
I really liked that they had quesadillas as a choice because the kids love quesadillas and they are a lot less messy than the other options (especially when we’re talking on the go!) Buggy ate hers Monday night on her way to RE at church. Between getting home from school, doing homework and getting everyone ready to go, it was a great meal for her to eat on the go.
Buggy had mixed opinions. She stated it tasted good. Then a few minutes later stated it didn’t taste good because it had no taste and then, a few more minutes later, stated it tasted good. She did end up eating one of the actual quesadilla pieces and left the other one. I have to admit – I’m not sure if it was that she didn’t like it or if she knew grandma would have a snack for her too.
Overall, I have to admit, I was a little taken aback at the price. It is a little more than I prefer to spend although, if I were in a jam, I could see myself purchasing the quesadilla meals for when we are traveling – its a quick, healthy, no mess meal for the kids.
