Eco-Friendly Wool Dryer Balls from @Woolzies

Eco-Friendly Wool Dryer Balls from Woolzies

With three kids, hubby’s work uniform and our cloth diapers, we do laundry. A lot of laundry.

I had heard of these wool dryer balls, but really, I just didn’t understand the hooplah around them. When the door opened to give them a try, I figured what do I have to lose?

Well, I had nothing to lose, but now, I have soft laundry to lose!

dryer balls are an all natural fabric softener, which thank goodness for that because honestly, I think the last time I used a fabric softener is when I lived with my mom and that was over 11 years ago!

Woolzies are pure handmade New Zeland wool dryer balls that soften your laundry naturally without any harsh chemicals – an added bonus for us because I can use them with Lil Miss’ cloth diapers and not have to worry about them being ruined or chemicals being left behind to hurt Lil Miss’ little bum.

Additionally, Woolzies save time and energy by cutting down on drying time by an average of 25% per load.

The website claims they reduce static and wrinkles and while I guess I haven’t paid much attention to that part (we didn’t have much static or wrinkles to begin with) I can say that the dryer balls themselves tend to be staticky with each other. They kind of remind me of magnets – they are definitely drawn to each other when outside of the drawer.

Woolzies are hypo-allergenic and totally safe for people with wool sensitivities as they will not shed onto your laundry. The dryer balls are in great shape and we have been using them for approximately two weeks now. In fact, they still look like they did when I took them out of the box!

Woolzies last for 1,000 loads making them extremely eco friendly.

They have definitely made a positive impact on my laundry and I like the fact that we just toss them into the dryer when we put the clothes in there and we can forget they are there (until I’m putting away laundry of course! We have found them everywhere!) We haven’t been using fabric softener because we tend to forget when to put it in the wash cycle so using the dryer balls has definitely helped with that problem and I notice a difference in our clothing!
