Faux Red Loster Cheddar & Garlic Biscuits {Recipe}

Our favorite thing at Red Lobster is their Cheddar & Garlic Biscuits! So, I scoured the web and came across a recipe and made some slight modifications. (The original recipe I used was
)

Here is our modified version:

Biscuit Ingredients:

2 1/2 cups Bisquick

3/4 cup whole milk

4 tablespoons

cold

butter (I have done this with softened butter, but I will admit, the cold butter made them fluffier)

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1 – 1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese

Topping Ingredients:

2 tablespoons melted butter

1/4 teaspoon dried parsley flakes

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Combine Bisquick with cold butter in a medium bowl using a pastry cutter or a large fork.
  3. Add cheddar cheese, milk, and ¼ teaspoon garlic.
  4. Mix by hand until combined.
  5. Using my hands, I created dough balls slightly smaller to a tennis ball and placed them on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  6. Bake for 15 to 17 minutes or until the tops of the biscuits begin to turn light brown.
  7. While the biscuits are baking, melt 2 tablespoons butter in a small bowl. Add 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder and 1/4 teaspoon dried parsley flakes. Using a brush, spread the melted butter mixture over the top of the biscuits when they come out of the oven.

Makes approximately 8 biscuits (give or take depending on the size of your dough balls)
