Faux Red Loster Cheddar & Garlic Biscuits {Recipe}
Our favorite thing at Red Lobster is their Cheddar & Garlic Biscuits! So, I scoured the web and came across a recipe and made some slight modifications. (The original recipe I used was
)
Here is our modified version:
Biscuit Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups Bisquick
3/4 cup whole milk
4 tablespoons
cold
butter (I have done this with softened butter, but I will admit, the cold butter made them fluffier)
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 – 1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
Topping Ingredients:
2 tablespoons melted butter
1/4 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
- Combine Bisquick with cold butter in a medium bowl using a pastry cutter or a large fork.
- Add cheddar cheese, milk, and ¼ teaspoon garlic.
- Mix by hand until combined.
- Using my hands, I created dough balls slightly smaller to a tennis ball and placed them on an ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake for 15 to 17 minutes or until the tops of the biscuits begin to turn light brown.
- While the biscuits are baking, melt 2 tablespoons butter in a small bowl. Add 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder and 1/4 teaspoon dried parsley flakes. Using a brush, spread the melted butter mixture over the top of the biscuits when they come out of the oven.
Makes approximately 8 biscuits (give or take depending on the size of your dough balls)
