Feeling Pretty with Smile Brilliant

As a parent, we sometimes forget to take care of ourselves and do things, for ourselves.

Those little people we made take a lot of our time and attention and we put ourselves behind them (rightly so) but every once in awhile, it’s nice to take some time for ourselves and make ourselves feel good.

I have heard of teeth whitening and never really thought much of it, but when I was asked if I would try
‘s at home teeth whitening kit, I thought it would be a great ‘me time’ thing to try out. Give my mouth an extra boost of beauty.

I have to admit, I was quite intimidated. I have never done anything like this before and wasn’t sure how it would all go. Plus an easy gag reflex? Intimidated.

Fortunately, it was much easier than I thought!

How it Works

Everything I needed for the molds, as well as the teeth whitening process itself, came in that box.

Upon receiving the entire kit, I had to make my molds.

The mixture (the small round plastic containers in the box) contained white putty and blue putty that I had to mix together before placing into the blue molds and then sticking them in my mouth to get an impression.

There was one extra of each putty just in case there was a mistake.

I will say, I did gag. Badly. Fortunately, it was the only time I had to do the molds and I have to say – they turned out great!

Please note: On a typical order, you do not get the impressions back. I was provided this for this post only.

The kit came with a self addressed stamped envelope so I was able to send the molds back and they sent me back my teeth whitening trays.

I did a quick video review to show how easy it really was:

In summary, the entire process was pretty easy.

I did gag while making the molds and only once while doing the actual whitening process. Other than that, I can sit around without any issues. I can even talk with them in! (Not great, but I can still talk!)

I recommend placing the gel in small amounts, closer to the front of the trays to prevent overflow in the back. The desensitizing gel isn’t bad, but the whitening gel is horrible if accidentally tasted.

Hubby and I can notice a change in as short as 20 minutes:

Please note the process was 40 minutes total, but the teeth whitening itself was 20 minutes.

The desensitizing gel has to be applied for a minimum of 20 minutes. The whitening gel can be on for a minimum of 20 minutes up to hours.

This is after a 35 minute whitening session (plus the 20 minute desensitizing gel):

Overall, I am extremely pleased with the results and will definitely continuing using the
teeth whitening kit.

It’s easy enough to do while getting ready for a date or before a holiday get together with friends or family.
