Game of Love {Book Review} – Life as Leels

NEWLY RELEASED……..

Book #1 The Remingtons, Love in Bloom Series #10

Five sexy, loyal, family oriented siblings,

each in search of their forever love.

THE REMINGTONS are the newest addition to the LOVE IN BLOOM series by New York Times & USA Today bestselling and award-winning author Melissa Foster. This 5-book steamy contemporary romance series features alpha male heroes and sexy, empowered women. They’re flawed, funny, passionate, and very relatable to readers who enjoy new adult romance, contemporary romance, and women’s fiction.

Ellie Parker is a master at building walls around her heart. In the twenty-five years she’s been alive, Dex Remington has been the only person who has always believed in her and been there for her. But four years earlier she came to Dex seeking comfort, and then disappeared like a thief in the night, leaving him a broken man.

Dex Remington is one of the top PC game developers in the U.S. He’s handsome, smart, and numb. So damn numb that he’s not sure he’ll ever find a reason to feel again.

A chance encounter sparks intense desires in Ellie and Dex. Desires that make her want to run—and make him want to feel. A combination of lust and fear leads these young lovers down a dangerous path. Is it possible to cross a burned bridge or are they destined to be apart forever?

GAME OF LOVE is part of the Love in Bloom series.

My Thoughts:

Well, this is our second Remington (but the first actual book from the Remington side. Jack was the first Remington and we met him in one of the Braden books.) I have to admit, I don’t find Dex as hot and steamy as my Braden boys (I really do love those men) but Dex was still hot in the tattooed “bad boy” look (although he is not a “bad boy”).

Regardless of me missing the hot and steamy factor, I still loved this book.

I felt that out of all of the female characters we have met, I could relate to Ellie so easily. She really is just someone that you fall in love with.

I felt a lot of time the female characters in previous books were flighty and dramatic and wanted to run from the relationship for some reason or another. I didn’t feel this way with Ellie. I felt I connected with her.

And I have to admit – this one made me cry!

I felt all kinds of emotions with this one – happiness, anger, pride, love, compassion. A fabulous read that I recommend!
