If you have been a long time reader here at Life as Leels, you know that I am a huge fan of Walgreens Healthcare Clinic.

This school year, Walgreens is helping Shot@Life in Walgreens’
campaign.

Walgreens is your easy stop for immunizations and back to school items this year with their no appointment necessary healthcare clinic that accepts most health insurances, or has lower costs for out of pocket payments.

This school year, every time you get a pertussis/whooping cough, HPV, meningitis, or chicken pox immunization for your kid(s) at Walgreens, you are helping Walgreens Give a Shot® to a child in need a developing country through the United Nation Foundation’s
Campaign. (Please note, these immunizations are for school aged children, ages 7 and up.)

Since my kids were little, we have tried to instill the “give back” state of mind.

For Christmas, we have given gifts to an orphanage here. My kids understand that some of the homeless people live on the street because they can’t work and don’t have a place to live. Our kids have given money as well as food to homeless people.

We try to show them and have them participate in giving back to those who need it more than us which is why I enjoy taking part in the Get a Shot Give a Shot® campaign.

With our kids, we usually have to schedule an appointment with the pediatrician, go in, pay our co-pay, wait in the waiting room, get their shots, and leave. We usually get stuck in the waiting room longer than we are actually with the doctor.

Now, with Walgreens Healthcare Clinics providing the immunizations, we can schedule an appointment with the Walgreens app or online before we leave (or can walk in without an appointment), save $10 off our co-pay (some insurances have this), and get our immunization and be done.

Even if you walk in and have to wait – it’s Walgreens! There is always shopping to be had (you know, random baby things for the littles or even school supplies!)

With the convenience and ease of Walgreens Get a Shot Give a Shot® you can get all your back to school needs out of the way and help others in need at the same time!

Tell me, what grade are your kids in this year and when do they start school? Buggy and Buddy start August 6th and will be in 3rd and 1st grade!
