I like to help where I can and being a blogger means that I have a bigger audience reach when you combine my blog readers, Facebook fans, friends, and Twitter followers.

When I am asked to help spread the word about a cause, especially one involving a child, I do not hesitate to help.

The following is a letter written by a local small business woman who is also the care taker and foster mom to this little boy.

To whom it may concern.

I’m writing this letter seeking help for a very special little boy.

Dylan is a 4 yr old special needs child who resides in San Tan Valley, Arizona. Dylan has resided with my family now for almost 2 years. We are nearing towards the end of his adoption. Dylan came to live with my 2 teenagers and myself in January 2012. Dylan’s biological mother could not provide for him nor take care of him with all of his special and medical needs.

Dylan was diagnosed with Aggressive Autism at the age of 2. He also has, but is not limited to Sotos syndrome, ODD, ADHD, and Mood disorder with anger issues. Dylan suffers from sensory overload and sensory seeking behaviors. He also has significant medical, vision impairment, hearing impairment, cranial defect, heart issues, cleft pallet, and GI disorder. Dylan still requires formula to stay healthy.

Dylan is a non-verbal, fun loving little man. We have been trying for almost 2 years to get proper equipment for sensory, therapeutic, medical and safety. Dylan has been denied once again. We are now asking for any help that anyone can offer or lead me to the right person.

I’m a single mom who struggles everyday to make our lifestyle smooth sailing. I’m a small business owner that I just can’t keep trying to cover the cost of all his care.

Dylan became a foster child in June of 2013 after the biological mother left the state of Arizona. Since then I have not received any assistance. I just got a letter stating that I would be paid $18.90 a month for taking care of him. With the time I have to take off work to make sure he’s at his appointments or because he’s sick and can’t go to daycare, is really taking a toll. With all the expenses I have between home and business, I’m barely able to keep groceries in the house the way I should, or get my older children the things they need for every day life.

I know this may be a lot to ask for mainly around the holidays but I’m not sure what else to do. Our goal is $25,000 dollars. The bed alone that he was written a prescription for starts at $18,000. The helmet is $600.00; Spio $120.00, swings, and gyms, and wheelchair, and much more. If you could please find it in your hearts to help in anyway you can I would greatly appreciate it as Dylan will.

A
has been set up for Dylan and you can go and donate through there.

If you have any questions or know of any one or any way to help with their situation, please feel free to leave a comment or email me at lifeasleels (at) yahoo (dot) com and I will contact the foster mother.

I ask you to please donate anything that you can and I thank you in advance.

Happy Holidays!
