You would think that growing up in a family predominately of postal workers, I would gift my postal worker something during the holidays.

The truth? This is the first year I have.

I never have before. I guess I never really crossed paths with my postal worker and figure they were doing their job bringing me my mail – nothing special.

But since becoming a blogger, I get tons more mail and have actually crossed paths with my postal worker several times. And he is quite nice I must add.

So this year, I wanted to thank him and wasn’t sure exactly what to give him. Here are a few options my friends and family provided:

• A gift card to a coffee shop
• If you are in a cold weather, a mug with hot cocoa or if you are in hot weather (like us) a water bottle with a fan that portable fan that goes around the neck
• Money, cash

We ended up getting him a Visa gift card. For some reason, I didn’t think cash was acceptable (be sure to check because there are some guidelines and rules when it comes to gifting your postal worker) so we got the next best thing – a like cash gift card.
