Lil Miss is almost 10 months old now. She can crawl, but she still isn’t walking so when the family goes out for a walk, she still needs to be in stroller which isn’t always fun when you’re a baby.
With the Joovy Tricycoo, Lil Miss can still get pushed around, but it’s more exciting and fun for her! She can sit up like a big girl, see the world around her, and ring the bell on her Tricycoo!
The Joovy Tricycoo is recommended for children who are 18 months of age or older. Lil Miss is still young, but the Tricycoo was still something she could use (and she loved riding in it!)
The Joovy Tricycoo has pedals that when she gets older, she can pedal on her own, but for now, we have them locked so she can put her feet up on the pedals without them moving. There are also foot rests that are currently tucked up under her seat that can be pulled down so she can rest her feet there.
The handle is short enough that Buggy and Buddy can push her, but still long enough that Daddy or I can push her too. (It is also removable and has a cover for when she starts riding it on her own.)
The seat is surrounded with “rails” of sorts to keep her in. (They too are removable!) The only thing I wish it did have was a safety belt for around the waist to keep her seated in the back. While I understand it is meant for older children, putting in a belt would allow younger kids to ride in it as well.
There is a basket in the back to keep belongings and a bell on the handle bars that she has already learned how to use!
One key feature that I really loved was the the wheels are “injection-molded wheels with urethane treads”. They don’t have to be blown up, but they aren’t the cheap plastic wheels you find on other toys that get dinged up and ruined.
Our Joovy Tricycoo will come in handy year round for walks around the neighborhood and to the park! I can see us taking this to the mall or the fair in lieu of her stroller. She was all smiles while sister pushed her down the sidewalk:
Do you have a little one that would love a Joovy Tricycoo? They come in green, orange, and pink and is a new favorite in our house!
