Dancing and Singing Along with Kidville Rockin’ Railroad – Life as Leels

Dancing and Singing Along with Kidville Rockin’ Railroad

We are a very musical family.

I did choir from 6th grade until my senior year (I’m a nerd who lettered in choir – no joke!) I love to listen to music, write lyrics, sing – I love music.

Hubby likes listening to music and is more into the management side of music.

Lucky for me, my love for music has passed down to the kids. Both of the big kids love to listen to music and love to sing. Quite often, you will find Buggy with a notebook and pen “writing” her own songs. Even the baby loves hearing music played.

And because we are so musical, and because we enjoy spending time in the car, we are always seeking out new music for the kids to enjoy and of course, for me to enjoy with them!

The Kidville Rockin’ Railroad CD has 20 tunes written and performed by Paulie Z., who has a band named Z02 that rocks out but he also understands how to reach youngsters. The songs are in a variety of genres (blues, Motown, rock, disco and more) and get the kids and their parents dancing… and thinking.

Initially, we weren’t sure about this CD. I’m serious.

We put it in the CD player in the car, it started up and hubby and I just looked at each other curious as to what we had gotten ourselves into.

The next time we played it? The kids and I were singing and dancing along with the music!

The music is all very catchy and easy to learn so we were singing along in no time!

One of our favorite songs is #3 –

A Little Faster on 3

. None of us can sit still during this song! We sing and dance along because there is no possible way to not!

Another favorite is #11 –

Flora the Flamingo

. It has a latin vibe to it and I have caught Buddy pretending to be a flaminco dancer while this song plays (I will try to catch video and share because it really is too cute!)

And I can’t forget #8 –

Go Go Go

. It has more of a reggae vibe to it and is quite enjoyable!

I really, really enjoy Rockin’ Railroad and so do the kids!

I’d say it is approximately 20 minutes in length which is great for a car ride and it makes the time pass faster when you can sing and dance along with some good tunes!

Rockin’ Railroad will definitely be a good stocking stuffer this Christmas!
