About a month ago, I got the opportunity to meet with some of LEGOLAND® California “people”. Being a blogger, I met their social media man (who don’t get me wrong was great) but the real fun was meeting one of their Master Builders.
Let me try to put this in perspective for you of how cool this was –
This guy actually graduated from ASU here in Arizona. A normal guy. He taught school here in Arizona. Are you catching this – a teacher. He ended up moving to California and as a joke, applied to LEGOLAND®. Needless to say, he now gets paid to spend his days building LEGO® masterpieces! How cool is that!?
I even got a sneak peak at the LEGO® Legends of Chima Water Park – built entirely from LEGO® pieces! (And I am totally kicking myself for not getting a picture of it, but it was in the back of their SUV at the time so it felt weird asking!)
Wait, LEGO® Legends of Chima Water Park – you haven’t heard!?
LEGO® Legends of Chima Water Park presented by Cartoon Network at LEGOLAND® California Resort is opening
this
Memorial Day weekend!
Based on the LEGO Group’s newest hit product “Legends of Chima”, the new three acre Park features eight main areas for guests to splash about including the Park’s centerpiece, “Lion Temple Wave Pool,” an interactive wave pool highlighted by the 30-foot-tall “Mount Cavora” floating water feature.
Additional areas in the new Water Park include; Cragger’s Swamp – A hands-on water play area inviting guests to ride water slides, blast water cannons and zoom through the head of a massive crocodile; Build-A-Boat – A unique interactive play experience giving children the opportunity to use their creativity and bring their imaginations to life as they build boats and learn how to change the currents, build and dodge obstacles and race their friends; Wolves’ Cantina –The place to grab a bite when guests get hungry and check out the cool collectibles gathered by the clever wolf tribe.
The new Water Park is included in the cost of admission to LEGOLAND® Water Park which is a $20 upgrade to Park admission. (Kids ages 3–12: $73; Adults: $83. Parking $15. For information: (760) 918-LEGO or
).
My kids are dying to go and we have added it to our bucket list!
Be sure to check back often – LEGOLAND® has a bunch of events this year and I will be sharing them all with you right here on Life as Leels!
