Ho hum, late again. Between Lil Miss not sleeping at night and then trying to catch up on sleep during the day and working from home so we still have an income, life is just a little hectic! Not to mention, Buggy is on spring break this week so we have all three kids home. Fortunately, hubby is home and was just notified today that he was approved for “donated time” which means his co-workers can donate their paid time off to him so he can continue to stay home and help me out! Such a blessing.
But, on to the topic.
Yesterday’s topic was daily routine.
I guess I’ll have to clarify. Daily routine pre-baby or post-baby? Because they sure are different!
Monday through Friday is my day to take Buggy to school so our morning typically started between 640am and 7am. I ensured Buggy got up, got breakfast, got dressed, had lunch and snack, got myself dressed, and woke Buddy up. I would take Buggy to school at 730am, come back home, eat breakfast with Buddy and then spend the day either playing with Buddy, watching tv with Buddy or napping. Sometimes, all of the above.
Buddy and I pick up Buggy from school at 215pm, come home to do Buggy’s homework, and then hubby got home about 330pm. From there it was relax time, tv time, play time, or errands until dinner which is usually 5pm at our house.
After dinner it was generally play time, bath time and then bedtime by 7pm on school nights or 8-830pm on weekend nights. If it was a weekend night, we usually watched a family movie together or a television show together.
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday I usually slept until 9am before getting up and ready for work. I worked from 10am to 3pm, went home to relax or work on blog work, dinner at 5pm and then the typically nightly routine like above.
Saturday and Sunday were sleep in until 9am days before getting up with Buggy and Buddy and spending the day with them either playing, coloring, watching movies/tv, or venturing out of the house to the park or the store.
And for hubby and I, we are generally in bed, asleep, between 10-11pm.
Since Lil Miss doesn’t sleep a whole lot at night, I have been sleeping in late or getting up and then napping until early afternoon while Lil Miss sleeps in her napper rocker in the living room.
If I’m not sleeping, I’m either holding Lil Miss, feeding Lil Miss, trying to stay caught up on the blog or working on my work here at home so I can still make money and so my office doesn’t fall apart while I’m gone!
Dinner time is still around 5pm or 6pm with the chaos, and the nighttime routine for the bigger kids is still the same. Unfortunately for hubby and I, bedtime has been pushed back quite a bit based on Lil Miss’ sleep schedule. Last night we were fortunate enough to go to bed and be asleep by 11pm (except me who struggled with sleep because Lil Miss kept stirring so I didn’t go to sleep until 11:45pm with Lil Miss waking at 12:30am.) The few nights prior, she hasn’t gone to sleep until 1-230am which means I don’t go to sleep until then either!
So there you have it. A quick run down of my daily routine pre- and post- baby!
What is your daily routine like? Hopefully less crazy then mine!
