Growing up, someone would generally make fudge. It was a staple for the holiday season (generally around Christmas). Since moving away from my family nearly 10 years ago, not only have I not had fudge, but I haven’t tried my hand at making it myself until now!

We were able to purchase all necessary ingredients at Smart & Final with the exception of the marshmallow fluff. #ChooseSmart
Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups sugar
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 small can evaporated milk
1 jar marshmallow fluff
3/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon vanilla
1 bag semi sweet chocolate chips
Directions:
1. Butter a 9 inch square pan.
2. Combine the first 5 ingredients (sugar, butter, evaporated milk, fluff, and salt) in a saucepan.
3. Stir over low heat until blended and smooth.
4. Bring mixture to a boil over moderate heat; be careful not to mistake air bubbles for boiling.
5. Stir constantly for 5 minutes.
6. Remove from heat.
7. Pour in vanilla.
8. Add chocolate chips.
9. Stir until chocolate chips are melted.
10. Pour into the pan and let cool.
