Do you have a tendency to lose things? Misplace them and can’t find them?

I used to have a boss who would lose his keys. Daily. At least twice a day.

For Christmas one year, I bought him a key finder alarm, but the problem with that was that you had to be near the keys and make a loud noise to sound the alarm. Not very helpful.

We were recently provided a
to review and since keys weren’t an issue, we attached it to A’s pacifier (that she loses at least 5 times a day!)

(Don’t worry, we took the tracker off of her pacifier right after these pictures.)

Pros

  • The wireless tracker runs off blue tooth and a mobile app.
  • It creates a beeping noise to help locate the missing item.
  • You can easily attach it to a key chain if you lose your keys frequently.
  • Using string or ribbon, you can attach it easily to another item.

Cons

  • The app is not compatible with a lot of devices which was troubling. Fortunately, it was compatible with hubby’s phone, but not mine. (He has a Samsung Galaxy S3 and I have a Samsung Galaxy Avant.)
  • The beep could be louder. In the case of my boss always losing his keys, he was in his 60’s and didn’t always hear that great as is.
  • It doesn’t come with anything to attach it with (no key ring, no string, nothing.)
  • There is a button on the actual tracker that if pressed, renders the tracker useless.

It helped us find A’s pacifier that night and I have no doubt it would help find lost keys.

If I had known of this product years ago when my boss needed it, I would have purchased it for him (pending he had a phone that fit the app requirements.)

If I knew someone else needing a tracker for lost keys or other items, I would consider purchasing this item for them. Of course, it does depend on the app requirements.

I think this could be a great, useful product if it was compatible with more devices as it really is something that a lot of people would use and it works well for its intended purpose.

I’m curious – what is the #1 thing that you tend to lose?
