I am a blogger and lover of all things social media so I’m constantly checking my phone to make sure I stay on top of all things blog related which includes Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
Hubby is just a tech addict so he’s constantly on his phone playing games or on his new recent obsession which is Twitter.
All this gaming and social media wears out the batteries on our cell phones before days end so when I was offered the opportunity from New Trent to review the
, I literally jumped at the chance.
The New Trent Chargepak NT600C External Battery Pack plugs into the wall for easy charging, comes with dual USB ports for charing more than one device at a time, plus a USB attached to the device for charging.
I love that it is lightweight and fits easily into my purse or the diaper bag so we can take it on the go with us.
The New Trent Chargepak NT600C 6000mAh External Battery Pack is compatible with an assortment of phones (iPhone); iPods; iPad; Android phones; portable game consoles (Nintendo DS/DSi, PSP/PS Vita); most smartphones and tablets. I was pleased that it not only fits my HTC smartphone, but it also fits hubby’s LG smartphone. In addition, it fits my Kindle Fire too which will be great when we are traveling with the kids – we can charge the Kindle Fire while driving.
In addition to be compatible with all kinds of devices, the New Trent Chargepak NT600C 6000mAh External Battery Pack provides up to an additional 22 hours of talk time; up to an additional 24 hours of video playtime; and up to an additional 15 hours of internet browsing.
I think hubby is more excited than I am about our new little “toy” because now he can charge his phone anywhere on the go (especially since he plays on his phone so much that it is usually dead by early afternoon!)
I am excited to know that I can take this bad boy with me where ever I go and not have to worry about my phone dying.
This will come in handy not only for every day life, but will also be a nice accessory to have when we travel with the kids’ devices as well!
Update 9/29/13: Upon initially receiving my battery pack, we were very pleased. I do not recall if we charged it right away or if we used it until it died and then charged it. Either way, I know we were able to and did charge it once, but once it died, it died. The entire unit died and we have not been able to revive it.
I thought maybe it was just the unit I had received, but after speaking to some other bloggers at a conference, it was shared that at least two others had received a New Trent External Battery Pack that had also died.
With my experience and this knowledge,
I do not recommend purchasing this item.
