The Amateur Foodie’s Tool: Ozeri Fresko Duo Mill

Hubby is what I would call an “amateur foodie”. He loves to cook (and he loves to eat just as much!)

He does most of the cooking in our house so when I had the option to get him the
, I couldn’t resist – I knew it was something he would love to have (and for the record, I was right!)

The Ozeri Fresko Duo Mill is a salt and pepper mill in one easy to use contraption.

Each end has a stainless steel, silver cap to cover the grinding mechanism –

The glass containers on each side hold their own seasoning (salt on one side and peppercorns on the other). Hubby used sea salt that we had on hand and then peppercorns.

It’s easy to use as well – our 6 year old was able to use it!

To use, you hold the middle stainless steel piece and turn the bottom stainless steel piece. Easy peasy.

I did find that the first few uses, the grinder did take some “elbow grease” but it got easier the more we used it.

Hubby has always been asking for a peppercorn mill so this was the perfect gift to give him “just because” and the salt mill was an added bonus.

He has used it several times since it has been in our possession for cooking, as well for eating.

I enjoy that it only takes up the space of one seasoning on my counter rather than him having the salt and pepper shaker sitting there (hubby is a messy cook).

The only complaint hubby had was that he felt it didn’t hold as much as he liked and it would need to be filled every three to four uses. I, on the other hand, disagree with him.

I know that he has used it upwards of 3-4 times himself. I have used it once to play with (shhh!) and Buddy used it during the photo session. That alone is five to six times and it still has plenty of use in it. I venture to guess that you could use it daily to season your dinner and have enough for two to three

weeks

at least!

The
really was a great item for hubby and I can see this being a great gift for other “foodies” in our family!
