Pinterest: User Suggestions

Those who keep up in the world know that Pinterest is the new up and coming thing! You can pin great images that then get repinned and shared around different boards. I have pinned recipes, crafts, travel ideas, funny pictures, hairstyles, musicians… you can pin just about anything. And I like that when I want to try a new recipe, I can go to my boards, find the pin and it takes me to the recipe. How great is that!?

**If you don’t have Pinterest, but would like to – leave me a comment with your email address and I will send you one.**

With that said, here are some tips and suggestions I have found to make your pin boards spectacular!

Make sure your pin has a description.

You want to make sure that when someone sees it, they have a good sense of what the pin is. They’ll be more likely to repin or go to the source to learn more.

Make sure the pin directs to the original source.

If I pin something from John Doe’s blog or website, I do not want the pin to direct to my blog or website. I want the pin to direct to John Doe’s blog or website where the original information is posted. (A) That is how the reader will learn more. (B) That is how you will gain readers for things you pin and people repin. (C) Give credit where credit is due.

How to Add Pinterest to Facebook Page

How to change the direct link of a pin:

– Hover over the pin and you will see an ‘edit’ button pop up. Click on ‘edit’. Here you can change the description, link, which board it’s pinned to or you can delete this pin altogether.

– In the ‘link’ field you can put the direct URL for the original source of the pin.

– Click ‘save’.
