Our youngest just turned 3 at the end of February and has been potty trained for about a month now. That means no more diaper bags, but that doesn’t mean we aren’t done lugging a bag around with necessities! Now we have a “potty training on the go” bag!
Our must have diaper bag items – bottles, formula, water, diapers, wipes – has now changed to our must have potty training on the go items.
Not sure what those are? Let me help!
1.
Extra chonies.
Do not. Under any circumstance. Leave home without extra chonies. Murphy’s Law. Your child can go weeks without an accident, but the second you leave without extra chonies; an accident will occur.
2.
Extra clothes.
We usually keep two extra pairs of pants (just in case) and an extra shirt (for the times when the accident creeps upwards instead of downwards!) An extra pair of socks doesn’t hurt either!!
3.
Optional – traveling potty seat.
Especially if you will be driving longer than usual. There is nothing worse than being in the middle of nowhere with a child that needs to pee and no place to go! Taking along a potty chair is definitely helpful!
4.
Flushable cleansing cloths.
Not only are you ensuring a clean bum for your little, but need we discuss the poo situation? (We keep them in our bathrooms too!)
Cottonelle® Fresh Care* Flushable Cleansing Cloths are exactly that – flushable! They break down after flushing making them sewer and septic safe!
One of the reasons we choose
(and will continue to choose) is that they are flushable; they are alcohol free; and we can purchase them at Sam’s Club during our normal shopping trip and get a mega pack for a reasonable price. Need I have any other reasons?
We have moved away from a diaper bag to a little back pack that Addy can wear on her own when she leaves the house.
She likes to pack along a water bottle and snack and occasionally a toy. The back pack is the perfect size for her potty training on the go items and makes her feel like a big girl.
Have you experienced potty training on the go or are currently experiencing it? What other tips do you have?
We purchased Cottonelle® Fresh Care* Flushable Cleansing Cloths at Sam’s Club where we are members. Sam’s Club has always been my “go-to” since growing up and it is now where we go as a family. Especially a busy family of 5.
Sam’s Club now has
where you can order online and then pick it up; and
making life even easier to shop with Sam’s Club!
