The past week or so, I have had negative emotions. Sad, upset, angry.

My biggest frustration is hypocritical and judgmental people that seem to always end up in my path even though I try to avoid them.

It gets to the point that you don’t think there is any good left in people. All people are hypocritical. They are all judgemental. You wonder what happened to the good people and then, you see it.

At the end of December, I shared about
.

You can read more in the link, but long story short, Sam was in an accident that changed her life forever. She is a single mom to three boys and insurance was denying some of the necessities she needed to make life a little easier.

Mutual friends of ours set up a fundraiser as well as a garage sale.

The online fundraiser has raised over $4000 for Sam and her medical necessities. It was amazing how much people gave.

The real shock and awe to me? The garage sale…

The garage sale was this past weekend and I volunteered to have it at my house.

Tons of Sam’s friends donated items to be sold and all of the money made that day was going directly to Sam to put toward her medical care.

Words still escape me as to the kindness we witnessed that day.

Of course people bought, and of course, some people paid bare minimum for items (which is fine because all of the money adds up in the end and every little bit helps so we greatly appreciate people who bought). Some people bought and paid more than was asked of them. There were people who showed up, we shared Sam’s story, and while they bought nothing, they pulled out their wallets and donated money to the cause.

There is good in people!

With all the negativity I had been bearing witness to the past couple of weeks, I had lost hope in the goodness of people, but Saturday really showed me that there was still goodness out there – not everyone is hypocritical and judgemental.

Share with me: What good thing have you done for someone else recently?
