Disclosure: I received a gift card from Gymboree to purchase outfits for my children as part of Gymboree’s Grow with Me. All opinions are 100% my own.
Shark Week starts Sunday, August 4th which means from Sunday beginning at 11/10 central until Friday, August 9th at 8/7 central, there will be sharks upon sharks upon sharks on the Discovery Channel.
While shopping Gymboree clothing for Buddy and Lil Miss, Buddy picked out an all shark outfit. (He apparently had a short lived thing for sharks, I guess!) So I thought, what better way than to incorporate their awesome new clothes in with Shark Week!
Buddy picked out a shark t-shirt, shark shorts and cool new shark shoes! I’m not sure if Gymboree shoe sizes run big or if I ordered him a size too big, but the shoes are a little big for him right now (although I am sure they will fit in a matter of months. What is with kids’ feet growing so rapidly!?)
Lil Miss did not get sharks. Instead, she was my little flower! I loved this outfit and got her a matching swimsuit to wear (the swimsuit is yellow and the flower petals are pink!) There were no sharks for this little girl (and I don’t think she minds. I’m hoping she will be my girly girl!)
And while doing our fun photo shoot with our cool new shark outfit, Buddy and I decided we needed a snack for this weekend when Shark Week starts so we made Shark Week Pudding!
Ingredients:
1 box vanilla pudding
Ingredients necessary to make pudding (milk)
Small bag of jelly sharks
Directions:
Make pudding using directions on the box.
Because vanilla pudding is actually a yellow-ish color, add blue food coloring until you get the right color blue/blue green that you desire.
Put in refrigerator over night to set.
Scoop into serving dish and top with a jelly shark.
These will make a great kid snack while watching all the episodes during Shark Week!
