As most people are aware, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. With that, Life as Leels is helping
get the word out about their annual fundraising efforts for
.

For the last three years, Healthy Ones has partnered with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation to raise awareness and funds to support breast cancer research, and has raised $170,000.

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, Healthy Ones is donating a portion of their October sales to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. For every 1 pounds of Healthy Ones deli meat sold, $0.05 will be donated (up to $50,000.)

In effort to help raise breast cancer awareness and funds, we are hosting a family kickball game with a potluck using Healthy Ones products and a raffle! We are hoping that the attendees will purchase their Healthy Ones items in October so the portion of their sales can be donated, but then also participate in the raffle where the monies received will also be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

I think I can be safe in saying that every person has had breast cancer touch their life in one way or another whether it be in their personal family, a friend, or a friend of a friend. I know that it has touched my extended family and several friends and friends of friends.

Breast Cancer, as with most cancers, does not discriminate against age, race, ethnicity, socioeconomic class, education, etc.
