The Legendary Tour for The Chronicles of Guiamo {Book Review} – Life as Leels

My Thoughts:

I was provided the opportunity to
in The Chronicles of Guiamo back in June so when I was provided the opportunity to read and review the next three in the series, I was ecstatic to say the least!

It wasn’t until after I read the first book that I learned there will be many books in this series. Currently, there are 4 published books.

I have to say, The Chronicles of Guiamo is not my typically read.

I like reading romance and mystery – I really am not a big fan of historical fiction, but I fell in love with Guiamo in the the first book and wanted to continue following his journey.

When I picked up book 2 (Cumoro) I was a little lost – it has been awhile since I read Guiamo, but it wasn’t hard to remember what happened once I started reading. I was able to pick up right where I left off.

The books all move together in chunks of events of Guiamo’s life – like a timeline of memorable events.

One thing that I struggle with is that these are longer reads than I’m used to, but I feel that there isn’t anything that can be done about that. The information provided in the story is well wanted and needed information. They just are long stories.

I love that there is actual historical events intertwined in the story. I am not a big history buff so it’s fun to read up on things that occurred while following Guiamo on his journey.

I thoroughly recommend the entire The Chronicles of Guiamo series. I really don’t think there is “one audience” that this appeals to. Whether you be man, woman or young adult reader, I think this series appeals to all.
