I feel like I haven’t blogged with an update in ages so I figured now is as good as time as any, right?
I am now 26 weeks, 5 days pregnant and big as a house. Don’t believe me? Look for yourself!
I was just in for a 26 week check up to get the results of my
. Fortunately, all came back just fine so no gestational diabetes for me.
Unfortunately, I have to go back in 2 weeks for an ultrasound because (surprise, surprise) she is measuring big. I’m not really shocked there. I mean, Buddy was 9 pounds 15 ounces. I have always suspected they took Buggy a month early so if you do the math, if she would’ve cooked for an additional month, she would have come out about 9 pounds 14 ounces (instead of the 7 pounds 14 ounces she was born at).
So on the plus side, I think it’s safe to assume she does not have
as my research indicates babies with down syndrome tend to be smaller and #3 is measuring big.
On the downside, someone mentioned them moving my due date up. I’m a little concerned with that. I mean, based on my record keeping and math, my due date is already considered to be about 2 weeks early. If they want to move up my due date any more, that just means she’s being delivered earlier and she may not be ready. I’m worried about that. I mean, on one hand, yes, please let me be done, but on the other hand, I don’t want my child’s life to be at risk. I mentioned it to hubby and I think that if moving the due date is brought up, I’m going to request that I go into labor naturally (up until a certain date) and then have them do a c-section once I’m in labor as I really am not comfortable with them taking her earlier than initially planned.
Have you ever had your due date moved ahead of schedule? How did it work out?
