Every year we purchase new Easter outfits for the kids. It has been a tradition since I was young and I continue it with my kids, so I was excited when
provided me with a gift card to purchase outfits from their new Spring Collection.

Unfortunately, Buggy (at 7 years old) is far too big for her size and did not fit into Gymboree’s sizes, but Buddy and Lil Miss fit perfectly and I was able to find the perfect outfits for them for this Easter season!

Fortunately for us, we live in Arizona so the weather has been perfect for some park photos in their new Spring outfits and their outfits will be perfect for Easter this coming weekend!

Isn’t he handsome? He picked his entire outfit out by himself and was very pleased with his choice! He loved the tie initially, but has since grown to not like it. I guess time will tell what he really thinks about it, but the aviator sunglasses are a big hit with him! He’s been wearing them ever since we did these photos!

My beautiful Lil Miss! Her pretty outfit came with the headband, but her head is too small for it right now (who would have thought!?) I am sure in time she will grow into it!

I love both outfits for both kids and they are both something that they can continue to wear after the Easter holiday is over which is great! They both have great new outfits for this Easter season and for the entire year long!

And in addition to our awesome new outfits from Gymboree, we wanted to share some Easter egg decorating tips with everyone!

1. We purchased a PAAS egg decorating kit. This is the result of the

pink dye tablet in water

. We did end up purchasing the PAAS egg decorating cups and I filled the cup to the (1) line with water.

Lemonade Kool-Aid and water.

In the egg decorating cup, I used one whole packet of lemonade Kool-Aid and filled with water to the (1) line.

3. The PAAS egg decorating kit came with three

“eggarounds”

. You place the egg into the center of the plastic wrap (eggaround) and put them in boiling water. The plastic constricts to the egg and makes an easy, decorated egg. Note: The eggarounds did not fit onto our large size eggs. I ended up using “pee wee” eggs I got from our local farmer’s market.

4. You may have heard about the shaving cream decorating tip that are not edible. This here is

Cool Whip and Kool-Aid

. I put half a packet of grape Kool-Aid in with a scoop of Cool Whip, mixed it up a little bit and then covered the egg and let sit for 5 minutes. Afterwards, I wiped off all of the cool whip and was left with this pretty little egg.

Grape Kool-Aid and water.

In the egg decorating cup, I used half a packet of grape Kool-Aid and filled with water to the (1) line. Unfortunately, it didn’t really come out purple, but Buddy calls it “black” and it’s his favorite.

6. This is the result of the

blue dye tablet

(from the PAAS kit)

and vinegar

. I filled the egg decorating cup to the (1) line with vinegar.

7.

Water color paint.

The water color is non-toxic and allows for more room for decorating as you like. If I had more time, I would decorate it with flowers, but be aware, dry time is a little longer.

8. This one turned out to be my personal favorite.

Cool Whip and green food coloring

. I used a scoop of Cool Whip with some green food coloring, placed the egg in it for approximately 5 minutes and then wiped away all the excess afterward to reveal this pretty little thing. Note: My food coloring on hand was not natural food dye, but I would assume natural food dye would work just as well.
