I want to say if you have given birth, you know about my friend LBL and that if you haven’t given birth, you may not know them so let me introduce you.

Unfortunately though, you do not have to have had children to know my friend LBL. You can be introduce to LBL if you have had physical changes from childbirth, pregnancy, hysterectomy, or menopause; being overweight; complications from surgery, a stroke, or other chronic diseases (think diabetes, MS, Parkinson’s); bladder or urinary tract infections; or even bladder irritants (certain foods or drinks).

If you still aren’t familiar with my good friend (who I fully blame on my childbirthing and pregnancies) let me introduce you.

LBL is light bladder leakage that one in three women experience and can be triggered by coughing, sneezing, laughing or exercising (please don’t ever make me laugh when I have a cold! It can be very traumatic!)

I can tell you from my own personal experience, the best way for me to manage LBL (especially during those cold months where I am coughing all the time) is with a pad.

BUT, if you’re a female, you know that some of these pads can be big, bulky and uncomfortable when all you need to do is make sure your pee isn’t going through your clothes!

Fortunately for those of us familiar with LBL; Poise has pads and liners specifically for LBL.

are designed to move with your body and feature super absorbent material (LBL’s partner in crime – SAM).

have a thin-flex design for extra protection that is 3 times drier than period pads. That’s a big deal if you are using period pads for LBL – they really are two different things, needing two different plans of action!

Lucky for you, Poise is offering you a
of their Poise thin shape pads.

BUT, if you are like me, you have some extra pads laying around that you use for LBL (because we didn’t know better). Throwing them away is a waste of money, but I have found some unusual uses to recycle your period pad!

1. Removing your nail polish.

2. Nursing pads (cut in half and stick inside your bra!)

3. Lint brush (could even use to get animal hair off your outfit!)

4. As a bandage if you’re in a jam.

5. Place inside your sock to cover blisters on your heels!

6. Stick to the inside of your shirt to prevent sweat stains.

7. Place in shoes to absorb sweat (high heels!)

8. Add in high heels for cushion (and comfort!)

They definitely aren’t your usual period pad uses, but you don’t need them for your LBL after you
(make sure to click that link to get your free sample delivered straight to your door!)

Have you ever used a period pad for an unusual use? Leave me a comment and let me know what it was!
