Disclosure: I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Polly Pocket. I received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.
I find Buggy and Buddy to be at the age that they are extremely difficult to buy things for.
They don’t take care of their toys so I hate to buy them toys. They don’t take care of their books so I hate to buy them books that they tear up or color in (yes, at ages 7 and 5 they still do that). I can’t buy them coloring books with markers or crayons because they have managed to color on everything from my carpet to my walls.
What in the world do you get them? Especially a 7 year old girl (going on 13!)
Polly Pocket!
We were provided the Lila Fashion Collection and the Zipline Adventure kit for Buggy and boy was she excited.
I, on the other hand, was not only concerned about the small pieces with Lil Miss getting bigger, but figured that Buggy would not only care less about it, but would also ignore it.
Boy, was I wrong.
Get this – Buggy AND Buddy played with the thing for over an hour. Together. With NO fighting! Can you believe it!?
The Zipline Adventure Kit came in a few pieces and we had to put it together. There was only one part – okay, maybe two parts – out of the five step process that confused us, but we had it together in no time for the kids to play with.
It came with one doll (see her hanging on the zip line), a small monkey (who is too cute for words and is sitting at the top of the slide), a small dog, two small coconut beverages, and a leaf to ride down the slide (the monkey is sitting on it).
Buggy also got a Lila Fashion Collection (and we are calling her LEE-la kind of like me!)
It is a 20 piece set with shoes, shirts, skirts, dresses and accessories (sunglasses and a laptop).
I am concerned about her losing the pieces, but I was playing with the doll and the clothes seemed to go on and off with little ease and weren’t ripping like some of the other toys we have gotten that are similar with clothing.
Overall, both the kids were thrilled to be playing with them and I was thrilled that they were playing together and not fighting!
